Job Title: Market/pricing analyst
Location: Richmond, South West London
WINGAS UK Ltd is a UK gas marketing & trading company, which was established in 2004. WINGAS is a joint venture between BASF subsidiary Wintershall and Russian gas producer Gazprom.
Ideally to start September 1st and work as part of a team of 11 in total. Working hours are 35 per week and benefits include 25 days holiday, company bonus scheme, BUPA, BASF pension and subsidised gym membership.
Purpose:
- Develop an integral pricing desk for I&C gas products
- Provide pricing of tenders on request of Sales,
- Provide market analysis on the UK gas market
- Provide customer (purchase) decision support to I&C customers
Key responsibilities:
- Pricing:
- Contribute to the development of a dedicated pricing function for I&C gas products
- Complete and quality assure I&C customer (profile) data in cooperation with Sales Support
- Provide pricing on Metering and Transportation for I&C customers
- Perform calculation of cost of consumption profiles, based on established calculation models
- Analysis:
- Perform analysis of the UK natural gas market
- Publish the daily market reports
- Customer decision support:
- Support customers on purchase decisions against the traded NBP market
- Conclude fixing/unfixing transactions with customers
- Hedge customer positions by executing trading transactions
Knowledge skills and Experience:
- Graduate calibre
- Minimum of 2-3 years of market analysis
- Working knowledge of the energy sector would be advantageous
- Would suit a junior trader background
Competencies:
- Commercial awareness - astute perception with good commercial and business analyst skills
- Analytical background of energy markets in the UK is desirable
- Strong organisational skills -ability to manage priorities, work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with both clients and shareholders
- Ability to influence and negotiate on behalf of and between the company, shareholders, and customers
